Lauryn Hill Tributes Bob Marley on ‘Jimmy Fallon’

As part of his week-long Bob Marley tribute, Jimmy Fallon invited Ms. Lauryn Hill to perform on Late Night – and to be honest, I’m surprised she accepted the invite. Surprised, yet thankful.

In what, if memory serves me correct, is Lauryn’s first national TV appearance since her notorious MTV Unplugged 2.0 special, she truly delivered!

I’ve come to terms that we may never get the exact same Lauryn vocals back from Miseducation or Sister Act 2, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t something gorgeous and gritty to love and appreciate about her voice as it is. She’s still singing with more soul than most artists around today, and that’s all I can ask for.

Watch Lauryn tribute Marley with the late great’s “Chances Are” below now!

Vodpod videos no longer available.

Ms. Hill also performed Marley’s classic “Could You Be Loved” – Watch Here Now
